Now for something a little different

3 04 2008

I’ve posted up some of the photoshop work I did as a part of my course.  None of it is particularly advanced, but it’s all still a bit of fun, and at least I got to put something up on this site that doesn’t revolve around word count.

In other news, I’ve just about played through Army of Two enough times to be able to give it a proper review, and I also have a review on the way for my first official game that was sent to me by someone to review! Woo!

I’ll also hopefully have my hands on Kane’s Wrath (the C&C3 expansion) soonish, and I’m currently working on a Xbox Live Arcade roundup review of all the games I currently have.

So rest easy that there is plenty more gaming goodness on the way, plus reviews of a bunch of albums, and maybe even a tv series or two.

Never fear that I will run out of content; I’m-a dig deep if I have to!

Business Card and Flyer - Photoshop/Graphics

3 04 2008

Now here’s one that I actually am really proud of.

I made up this business card and flyer for an assignment in class…in which we had to make up a business card and flyer.  The site name on here is one I flirted with for ages, but finally decided was a little bit too obscure, and instead went for the Evil Wombat that you see today.

It’s a bit of a shame too, I really dig the design on these.  Ah well, maybe thebarbarycoast.com or some variation thereof will make a comeback in the future.

Enjoy:

Aging Myself - Photoshop/Graphics

3 04 2008

Oh man do I hate this one; just not my best work.

See the thing was that we were meant to age a photo of ourselves to look like we were in our 60s or 70s.  The problem was that our teacher felt that 60 or 70 year olds look about twelve decades more decrepit than the Cryptkeeper himself.

Aging my face enough that I looked old was easy as because it was subtle; the stuff needed to look like the arse-side of a zombie…not so subtle.  Doing it the night before it was due didn’t help either.

Anyway with all that negativity heading in, enjoy!

Merging Three Faces Into One - Photoshop/Graphics

3 04 2008

Here’s an assignment that I had to do at TAFE as a part of my photography/photoshop module, involving a truly horrible photo of myself, as well as those of my mates Charlie and Ev.  We had to combine different features from different people to make a true monstrosity; mine was a bit of a rush job, but still isn’t too bad.

Here’s the result:
