The anticipation is killing me

Quick update on me, not the site.

I’m currently sitting in a bit of a state of limbo at the moment; I’ve been throwing myself out there at pretty much anyone that has shown the slightest interest in someone that may or may not be able to write about stuff, and I’ve had some good returns and interest shown.

I’ve recieved a tonne of maybes, a few almost certainlies, even a definate possiblities.  But no one is actually saying straight out “love the article, will publish, here’s a cheque” and it’s starting to get just a little bit depressing to be brutally honest about it.

But there is really nothing to do but soldier on; it’s not like I haven’t been published before, it’s just that I haven’t really been published writing about something I want to write about.  Could that be my problem? Maybe disdain for the subject matter makes the best journo or critic?

Regardless I’m not getting too down in the dumps.  There’s always more to write about for here if nothing else, and I’m finding it really rather enjoyable to have a deadline to write to about stuff I never would have been bothered writing about.

Even better, I’m finally getting a little bit inspired to start writing fiction again; it’s been a long time since I’ve done more than knock out a bad poem for my girl, so here’s hoping that this turns into something a bit more palatable to the mainstream (I wouldn’t think of driving off what readers I have by exposing you to sap).

Anyway, that’s enough from me. Hopefully one review going up tonight, although it’s been a very busy day so can’t promise more than one being completed to my standards by then.  Still, at least there hasn’t been a dry day for a while now.

Emo-ly yours,
